  • What kind of beef do you raise?

We raise both black and red angus cattle. We want beef that is tasty, tender, and juicy - Angus beef is proven to meet those expectations. We source our bulls from a black angus producer so all of our cows are naturally bred each year to a black angus bull. We have tasted both red and black cattle from our herd and each have exceeded our expectations.

  • What do you feed your cattle?

Over years of producing cattle, our family has crafted a tried-and-true feeding program that includes a perfect balance of hay and grain. We enjoy a steak that does not require extra work in the kitchen to achieve great flavor and we think you should be able to as well! After birth, our cattle spend their days grazing plentiful grass around Rocklake in St. John, Washington. During the winter months, we introduce a ration of grain and free choice hay- this how we get perfect marbling, flavorful steaks and tender roasts!

  • If I want a sample of beef, what should I order?

We highly recommend ordering a 10lb variety box that includes steaks, roasts and ground beef. You can order boxed beef HERE.

  • Can I customize my order?

Absolutely! We are here to help you select the perfect cuts of beef for any occasion. Anything from steaks, ground beef, to brisket, we offer several of cuts ala carte style.

  • I want to fill my freezer; how do I go about ordering? (for 1/4, 1/2, and whole)

Each Fall we hand select cattle directly from our herd to feed out for our custom orders and boxed beef. We are very mindful in selecting cattle that will provide the best product for your investment. Pre-ordering and a deposit is required for purchasing 1/4, 1/2, and whole quantities. You can learn more about ordering custom beef raised by us by clicking here.

  • Are The Harvest Shop products guaranteed?

If you are not absolutely thrilled with your purchase from The Harvest Shop, for any reason at all, we'll be happy to replace your purchase or refund your money, whichever you prefer.

  • How much meat do I receive with a custom order?
